Attend the Ribbon Cutting for the Seatack Community Civic League Office

The public is cordially invited to attend the ribbon cutting for the Seatack Community Civic League’s new office, located at the Joseph V. Grimstead, Sr. Seatack Community Recreation Center’s program annex, at 141 South Birdneck Road. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held 5:30 pm, Monday, June 25, 2012. Since seating is limited, those who will be attending are encouraged to RSVP by calling (757) 385-8235 on or before June 22, 2012. Shuttle service will be available to and from the Rehoboth Baptist Church, 182 S. Birdneck Road.

 

The Seatack Community Civic League’s office will be a place for youth to receive college funding guidance, afterschool tutoring, and job counseling, in addition to other civic league business.

 

The Joseph V. Grimstead, Sr. Seatack Community Recreation Center is on property that once was owned by Seatack Community Property, Inc. In 1985, the property was deeded over to the City of Virginia Beach for the Seatack Community Recreation Center, including space for the Seatack Community Civic League office.
