Late Applications Still Being Accepted for Artisans in the Park

Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation is still accepting late applications for talented artisans to participate in the 37th Annual Art & Craft Festival Artisans in the Park at Great Neck Park (2513 Shorehaven Drive). Typically held in August during years past, Artisans in the Park is changing dates and will take place September 8 – 9, 2012.

A wide array of art forms comprise this outdoor art and craft festival including beautiful pottery, meticulous metal and glass work, breathtaking photography, distinctive jewelry, captivating paintings, and unique sculptures. All work is of original design with the artists on site.  Qualified artisans looking for a venue to showcase and sell their handcrafted works of art are encouraged to submit an application for Artisans in the Park.

Download and complete the artist application at and submit it by July 31 for consideration in the event. Additional details, including fees and selection criteria, are outlined on the application.

Artisans in the Park is free and open to the public, beginning at 10 am on both days, ending at 5 pm on Saturday, September 8, and then 4 pm on Sunday, September 9.
