Councilwoman Rosemary Wilson Named Among “Influential Women of Virginia”

Monday, March 12, 2012

Virginia Beach Councilwoman Rosemary Wilson has been honored by Virginia Lawyers Media as a member of the Class of 2012 of “Influential Women of Virginia.”  As president of the Virginia Municipal League, Mrs. Wilson was appointed to the class in recognition of her strong support of statewide economic development initiatives; her efforts to raise the profile of grassroots community volunteerism; and her dedication to preserving the unique historic heritage of the City of Virginia Beach.

This awards program, now in its fourth year, honors the outstanding efforts of women in the Commonwealth in all fields, including law, business, health care, education and the arts.  Individuals who are making notable contributions to their chosen professions, their communities and society at large are recognized.

Virginia Lawyers Media publishes Virginia Lawyers Weekly and the Virginia Medical Law Report.

The honorees will be celebrated at a gala luncheon on May 10 at the Richmond Marriott in downtown Richmond.  The “Influential Woman of the Year” for 2012, selected by the Class of 2012, will be announced at this event.  Each honoree will be profiled in a special publication that will be distributed at the event and inserted in to Virginia Lawyers Weekly in early May.
