Arrest Made - Malicious Wounding

​VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – An arrest has been made after a suspect stabbed an employee of the Walgreens store at 5305 Indian River Road.

 

On October 9th, 2021 at approximately 2:00 p.m. Virginia Beach Emergency Communications (VBECCS) received reports that someone had been stabbed at the Walgreens located at 5305 Indian River Road. As officers arrived on scene, a second victim, who sustained injuries from an apparent assault was also located. Both victims were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

 

A description of the suspect, and his direction of travel was provided by witnesses. 26-year-old Khalil Dashun Fleet, of Chesapeake, VA was stopped by VBPD officers a short distance from the store and taken into custody. Fleet was arrested and charged with aggravated malicious wounding and felonious assault. He was remanded into the custody of the Virginia Beach Sheriff's Department.
