Free COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics Continue At Several Virginia Beach City Public Schools Next Week

Friday, September 24, 2021

Virginia Beach City Public Schools and the Virginia Beach Department of Public Health have partnered to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations to students, faculty, staff and the general public on Sept. 27, 29 and 30 at several schools. Appointments are encouraged and can be made using the links below. However, walk-ins will also be accepted.

Those under 18 will be offered the Pfizer vaccine and will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Adults will have the option of either the two-dose Pfizer (Comirnaty), two-dose Moderna, or one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

Third doses are also available, as directed by the CDC, for those individuals who are immunocompromised. This includes people who have received an organ transplant, who are actively being treated for cancer, who have HIV, or are receiving any other treatment that affects their immune system. It is recommended that individuals who believe they may be eligible for the third dose should consult their physician, or refer to CDC guidelines:

All clinics will be open from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 27 - First Colonial High School, 1272 Mill Dam Road

Wednesday, Sept. 29 - Bayside High School, 4960 Haygood Road

Thursday, Sept. 30 - Kempsville Middle School, 860 Churchill Drive

The Delta variant is dominant in Virginia, driving an increase in COVID-19 cases. Vaccines are our best defense, drastically reducing the risk of infection and hospitalization.
