Thursday, August 05, 2021

The Virginia Beach Department of Public Health will be holding "Back to School" clinics at 4452 Corporation Lane on Fridays in August, and on Sept. 10.

Students can receive their school physical and all required or recommended vaccinations. All services are by appointment only. Parents must bring the child's vaccination records and only one child with one parent per appointment.

To make an appointment, call 757-518-2700 and select Option 1
Appointments available Fridays: Aug. 6, 13, 20, 27, and Sept. 10
(No clinic will be held Sept. 3)
Appointment Times: 8:30 a.m. through 3:15 p.m.

Currently, the Pfizer vaccine is the only COVID-19 vaccine approved for children 12 years and older. This vaccine requires a 21-day wait time in between doses and another 14 days after the second dose to be considered fully vaccinated. To ensure that students are fully vaccinated prior to the start of the school year, the first dose should be received as soon as possible.

Appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine can also be made at local participating pharmacies, grocery stores and clinics, and many accept walk-ins. Visit vaccinate.virginia.gov to find a location, or call 877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682).
