Woodstock Skate Plaza to be closed January 18-27 for concrete repairs

Mount Trashmore Skate Park will remain open for users during this time

Thursday, January 12, 2012

The skate plaza at Woodstock Park (5709 Providence Road) will be closed January 18-27 for concrete repairs. Construction may be extended due to inclement weather; please contact park staff at 366-4538 to inquire about delays.

Mount Trashmore Skate Park (310 Edwin Drive) will remain open for users during this time. This skate park has 24,000 square foot extensive street course flowing from an aboveground, seven-foot deep bowl. Adjacent to the Mount Trashmore Skate Park is a competition-sized vert ramp that stands at a massive 13.5 feet tall and 40 feet wide.

The Woodstock Park Skate Plaza opened in April 2007 and has 10,400 square feet of concrete skateable area and 3,200 square feet of interior green space. Boasting several challenging components, the plaza contains a five-foot tall quarter pipe, vert wall, rails, hubba ledges, radial ledges, stairs and handrails to provide endless skating action.

For more information about repairs at Woodstock Skate Plaza, please contact Susan Topping at 385-0400.
