SPSA Landstown Transfer Station Extends Saturday Hours

​Beginning Saturday, May 9, the Landstown Transfer Station, located at 1825 Concert Drive, will be available, on Saturdays, to all Virginia Beach residents from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

These extended hours of operation will allow residents to dispose of household waste, bulky items, and yard debris while easing the demand on the Landfill and Resource Recovery Center.

Virginia Beach residents will receive free disposal of their household waste, limited to 12 visits per calendar year, at no charge at SPSA Landstown Transfer Station.

  • Proof of Virginia Beach residency is required. (For example, a Driver's license or a utility bill).
  • All household waste, bagged or un-bagged, including furniture, mattresses and small appliances that have a freon-free certification sticker (if applicable), is acceptable.
  • Yard waste, which includes grass, leaves, etc. However, limbs, branches and brush must be less than six feet in length and not greater than 6" in diameter.
  • Not Accepted: household hazardous waste, scrap metal, propane tanks, paint, tires
