Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation’s Body Transformation Classes Will Help You Meet Your Fitness Goals!

Enhance the way you look – and improve the way you feel about yourself – through Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation’s Body Transformation classes. These classes build your cardiovascular fitness and muscle tone while burning fat, meaning you’ll get a healthier heart AND build a stronger, leaner body. Each Body Transformation class is for individuals age 14 and up, and ideal for all levels of experience and all body types.

There are four different types of Body Transformation classes. Register for the one that best matches your New Year’s resolution and your fitness needs:

Body Transformation - Cardio Training: Experience different kinds of cardiovascular exercises, including water fitness, jogging, cross training, and more. It is held 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday, January 31, 2012 through March 22, 2012 at Great Neck Recreation Center. $85

Body Transformation - Cross Training: Try a combination of cardio and strength training in each workout with TRX® suspension training, kettlebells, boxing and more. Weekly weigh-ins will be given.  It is held 10:00 am to 11:30 am, Saturday, February 4, 2012 through March 24, 2012 at Bow Creek Recreation Center. $55

Body Transformation - Dance Fitness: Burn calories, tone muscles, and gain flexibility through different styles of dance, such as Zumba®, hip hop, jazz, and ballet. You’ll also learn proper dance form, techniques and terminology. This class is offered 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Tuesday and Thursday, January 31, 2012 through March 22, 2012 at Bayside Recreation Center. $85

Body Transformation – Strength Training: Explore various resistance training techniques, including weights, TRX® suspension training, and kettlebells. This class is scheduled for 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday and Thursday, January 30, 2012 through March 22, 2012 at Great Neck Recreation Center. $85
