Drainage Improvements Work to Begins on Shore Drive at Starfish Road/North Great Neck Road
Virginia Beach Public Works has announced that the first phase of the Eastern Shore Drive Drainage Improvements, with flood control projects, has begun construction.
Crews began work at the intersections of Starfish Road and Shore Drive, and North Great Neck Road and Shore Drive, for the first phase. The project will include installing stormwater piping, drainage structures, trenching, along with sidewalk and pavement work.
The work schedule for the crews is as follows:
Starfish Road: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, from February 3, 2020, through June 1, 2020.
North Great Neck Road:
Northbound - 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday, from February 1, 2020, through April 4, 2020.
Southbound - 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2020 through June 7, 2020.
The contractor for the job is Tidewater Utility Construction Inc.
