Tree trimming to disrupt Shore Drive traffic this weekend

Tuesday, June 25, 2019

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation will be conducting tree removals on Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30, that may cause disruptions to traffic patterns on Shore Drive.

The work will take place along the eastbound lanes from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.  It will affect the route from First Landing State Park to the intersection of 83rd  St. and Atlantic Ave. (where Shore Drive meets Atlantic Ave.)

There will be lane closures for tree removal, tree pruning and debris removal, so proceed with caution in that area.
