Lab For Making Narcotics Found In Home

​On May 20th, 2019, members of the Norfolk Police Department were conducting a narcotics investigation in their city that ultimately led​ to the execution of a search warrant in the 4300 block of Tillman Drive, a residence in Virginia Beach.

During the course of their investigation, items were discovered that were believed to be components of a lab for manufacturing illegal narcotics.

Multiple agencies responded to provide assistance, to include VBPD Special Investigations, Virginia Beach Fire Department (HAZMAT), Virginia  State Police and the DEA to ensure everyone's safety during removal of the dangerous chemicals involved.

An arrest was made, and VBPD obtained charges on behalf of Norfolk PD investigators. 

27-year-old Abraham Conner Haines , of Virginia Beach was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance
  •  manufacture, sale, possession of a controlled substance
  • possession of marijuana with intent to distribute (over 10 oz)
