*2nd UPDATE * Arrest Made*

The decedent has been identified as 33-year-old Terrence Jerell Houston of Newport News, VA.

Two individuals have been arrested and charged in this case.

20-year-old Carson Carnell Davis Jr of Virginia Beach has been charged with murder, felonious assault and 2 counts of use of firearm in commission of a felony.​

18-year-old Zaymi Nicole Lewis of Virginia Beach, VA has been charged with concealed weapon and accessory after the fact (of a felony)


*UPDATE*

The News Release has been amended​ to reflect the correct location of the incident to be 11th Street and Pacific Avenue (not Atlantic Avenue as originally posted)​

There were two victims, 1 male and 1 female.  The male was pronounced deceased on scene and the female was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

The decedents identity will be released 24 hours after next of kin notification has been made.​

On Thursday May 2, 2019, at approximately 11:33 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a gunshot wound in the area of 1100 Pacific Avenue.   

When officers arrived they discovered two victims sustaining injuries from gunshot wounds.​ 


It has been discovered that one victim has succumbed to their injuries on the scene.  The second victim has been transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries. 


There is limited information at this time and this is still an active investigation.  More details to follow as they become available.
