Mayor Dyer’s State of the City Address to be Live Streamed on

​Virginia Beach Mayor Robert M. "Bobby" Dyer, will deliver his first State of the City address, Wednesday, March 20, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th St. This year's presentation will be live streamed online at at approximately 12:25 p.m. The event is the first in a series of five sponsored by the Hampton Roads Chamber.

During his remarks, the mayor will highlight key accomplishments and initiatives taking place in districts throughout the city, provide project updates, address challenges and opportunities in the city, give a glimpse into the city's future and engage the audience.

Mayor Dyer will share his vision of Virginia Beach as the "City of Yes" — the preferred Coastal City, a place that attracts people who share a vision for a robust economy that provides quality jobs to match the quality environment, and where small businesses can start up and then scale up.

The State of the City address is scheduled to be rebroadcast on Cox Channel 48 and Verizon Channel 45, beginning Sunday, March 24, and play through Saturday, March 30, as scheduled below:

  • Sunday – 6 p.m.
  • Monday – 5 a.m.  
  • Tuesday – 9 p.m.
  • Wednesday – 8 a.m.
  • Friday – 9 p.m.
  • Saturday – 12 a.m. & 3 p.m.
