UPDATE: Mayor Calling for Special Session Monday, Feb. 11

Vote on Storm Water Bond Resolution

Friday, February 08, 2019

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Feb. 8, 2019) — On Feb. 5, 2019, City Council voted to adopt a resolution and Trust Agreement to provide for the issuance and sale of Storm Water Utility Revenue Bonds, Series 2019, in a maximum principal amount of $35 million. The agenda item was passed 10-0 by Consent, with no speakers.  Unfortunately, the resolution was inadvertently omitted from the printed agenda.  As a result, another vote on the agenda item with the resolution is necessary for the bond sale to proceed.  The sale is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019.

The Mayor is calling a special meeting on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, to allow the City Council to vote on the resolution.  The special meeting is open to the public and will take place at 8:30 a.m. prior to the beginning of the City Council Retreat that is to be held at the Parks & Recreation Administration Office, 2154 Landstown Road.
