Register this Winter for Spring Sports

Virginia Beach Parks & Rec announces youth and adult sports signups

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation (VBPR) is encouraging residents to beat the winter blues by preparing for an active spring full of competition. Registrations for spring youth and adult sports leagues ramp up in January. The 2019 schedule also includes a new offering for youth softball – co-ed slow pitch. 

Youth: 

  • Now through February 17 - 7v7 Football Passing League
    Individual registration is currently available at VBgov.com/Sports. There is an early registration discount available before December 31.
  • ​February 1-15 - Girls Softball, Girls Fast Pitch, Co-ed Slow Pitch Softball 
    Registration is coordinated by various community recreation associations. Association-specific information will be posted on the youth softball page of VBgov.com in mid-January.
Adult:
Adult sports are organized and offered by VBPR Sports Management and registration is offered on a team basis, with the exception of pickleball. 
  • January 2-16 - Pickleball
    Registration for pickleball league is handled on an individual basis. For questions, call Bayside Recreation Center at 757-385-5930.
  • January 28 - February 11 - Co-ed Sand Football
  • February 11 - March 3 - Softball
