Does your child have an Individualized Education Program (IEP)? Do you think your student needs an IEP? Attend the Parent Resource Night from 6 pm – 8 pm, Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Kempsville Recreation Center, 800 Monmouth Lane. Dr. Brenda Reid from the Virginia Beach City Public School’s Parent Support and Information Center will discuss new regulations that may affect your child. Topics that will be discussed include:

  • An overview of the new IEP regulations;
  • How IEPs are developed;
  • What is and what is not permissible in an IEP; and
  • How to create a teamwork-based relationship between parents and staff so the child receives the maximum benefit.
