Traffic Signal Work at Kempsville and Indian River This Weekend

​Beginning on Sunday, July 15, 2018, Virginia Beach Public Works will have contractors installing temporary traffic signals at the intersection of Indian River Road and Kempsville Road.

Beginning at 7 a.m., crews will be pulling wire and installing new signal brackets and other items.   The temporary signal will cover all four directions of the intersection.  Work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Throughout the work, there will be intermittent traffic stoppages, lane shifts, or a reduction to one lane for through traffic. 

Public Works Traffic Control and Virginia Beach police officers will be on site to assist with traffic control.

All work is weather permitting.
