VB Public Works to Close Parts of Pacific Avenue This Sunday the 8th

Thursday, April 05, 2018

Virginia Beach Public Works has announced that parts of Pacific Avenue will be closed this Sunday, April 8, 2018, for road construction, beginning at 7 p.m.

Crews will be installing a sewer line across the southbound lanes of Pacific Avenue between 28th Street and 30th Street.  Both lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. Sunday evening until noon on Monday the 9th.

The project is likely to produce traffic delays, congestion and some construction noise.  Advanced warning signs will be clearly posted advising motorists of lane closures. Citizens are urged to use alternate traffic routes when possible.

There will be detour signs in place, and a police officer will be there to direct traffic.

All scheduled work is weather permitting.

The work is being done by Conrad Brothers, contractors for this project.
