Crime Prevention Month and Halloween Safety Display at Lynnhaven Mall

The Virginia Beach Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit will be celebrating October as Crime Prevention Month with an informational display, which will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011, from 4:00–9:00 p.m., and on Saturday, October 29, 2011, from 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m., at Lynnhaven Mall near Center Court.  McGruff, the crime dog, will be present to greet children.

 

Crime prevention officers will have an information table with Halloween and other safety tips for the public.  A police cruiser will also be on display, and members of Project Lifesaver will be present providing information about the program.

 

This event is FREE to the public.
