Celebrate the Winter Season at Shiverfest

Saturday, December 3, 2011
4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Mount Trashmore Park

Friday, October 28, 2011

(Virginia Beach, VA) The temperatures have dropped but that is no reason to stay indoors this winter. Bring the entire family out to Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation’s Shiverfest on Saturday, December 3 at Mount Trashmore Park. The thrills and chills begin at 4:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m.

See the park transformed into a winter wonderland with holiday goodies and festive music.  The first 50 children to arrive at the Experience the Fun tent will receive a lighted kite to fly on top of the mountain. Santa arrives at 4:00 p.m. on a 1941 restored fire truck provided by Khedive Fire Brigade. Bring your camera to take a photo with Santa before his big night!

Shiverfest is free and open to the public. Mount Trashmore Park is located at 310 Edwin Drive, Virginia Beach, 23452. For more information, please contact the Special Events Office at 385-2990 (TTY dial: 711) or prspecialevents@VBgov.com.
