Council of Civic Organizations Partners with City for Neighborhood Conference Saturday

Thelma Drake, Virginia Director of Rail and Public Transportation to Speak

Former state and federal legislator Thelma Drake, who now serves as the state’s Director of Rail and Public Transportation, will deliver the opening speech at the Council of Civic Organizations’ (CCO) Annual Neighborhood Conference on Saturday, Oct. 29. 
 
The CCO is partnering with the City of Virginia Beach to conduct the conference, to be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in Suite 1.  The purpose of the conference is to familiarize civic organizations with the city and its programs and services.  The public is invited to participate. Citizens can register by visiting to www.vbcco.org.
