“Water Pirates” Bring Conservation Message to Virginia Beach Elementary Schools

Friday, October 21, 2011

Over the next week, the National Theatre for Children’s Water Pirates of Neverland will be entertaining students at Virginia Beach elementary schools while educating them about the importance of conserving water.

Each year, in partnership with Virginia Beach Public Utilities, the Water Pirates of Neverland bring their interactive, high-energy, water-savvy performances to Virginia Beach public and private schools.  During the performances, students are introduced to captivating characters who show them simple ways to save water at home, as well as ways to protect our sanitary sewer systems.

The half-hour performances run through Oct. 28 and are free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.vbgov.com/pu-kids or contact Tiffany Wright with Virginia Beach Public Utilities at (757) 385-4948.
