The Missing/Endangered 11 year-old has been located safe

UPDATED: As of 11:38 p.m., the Missing/Endangered 11 year-old has been located safe and returned home. Thank you for your assistance.

On December 4, 2017 at 6:30 p.m., Emergency Communications received a case for a Missing/Endangered 11 year-old female. The juvenile was last seen near her home in the 1200 block of Old Virginia Beach Road near the Linkhorn Bay area.   The Virginia Beach SAR Team (Search and Rescue) have been activated and are currently assisting the Virginia Beach Police in searching for this juvenile. We are seeking the public's assistance in helping us locate her and returning her home safely. If you believe you have seen her please contact Virginia Beach Police dispatchers immediately at (757) 385-5000.

Linkhorn Bay area of Virginia Beach, VA

Penelope was last seen today, 12/4/17, at 1524 hours at her house, 1200 block of Old Virginia Beach Road, by her neighbor.  Penelope goes by Nelly and was last seen wearing animal printed pants and a dark grey shirt with an animal on it; and carrying a small backpack. She is in need of her glasses and they may not be in her possession at this time.
