Library Workshop to Help Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners “LEAP” into Success

​Virginia Beach Public Library is hosting a workshop for entrepreneurs, small business owners and aspiring business owners, Saturday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd. Zack Miller, founder of local business incubator, Hatch, will present "LEAP: the Smart Financial Roadmap to Starting and Growing Your Business." LEAP is an acronym for a four step process: Learning, Execution, Adaptation and Put it to work.

Miller will walk participants through the process and share tips to help grow their businesses and get on the path to financial awareness and stability. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. The event is free and registration is required. For more information and to register, visit

The workshop is one of several small business and financial literacy-based programs that Virginia Beach Public Library is providing for the community with funding from a $66,100 Smart investing@your library grant, sponsored by a partnership between ALA and the FINRA Foundation.
