VBPD respond to a shooting

​On November 22, 2017, at approximately 2:06 p.m. Emergency Communications received a call for a firearms violation in the 1200 block of Blue Jay Drive. There was a group of people at this location. Once gunshots were heard all parties at the scene left. At 2:13 p.m. Emergency Communications received a call in the 3500 block of Poppy Crescent for two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. It is unknown at this time if the injuries to both of the victims are life-threatening. Both males were transported by Emergency Medical Services to local hospitals​. The gunshot wounds are believed to be related to the initial firearms violation call at the 1200 block of Blue Jay Drive. There is no suspect information available at this time. This is still a very active case. This case remains under investigation by members of the Department's Homicide Unit.

Tipsters will remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000 if their information leads to an arrest.
