Grand Jury Returns 74 Indictments: Mother and Boyfriend Charged with Murder of 5-Year-Old Boy

Harvey L. Bryant, Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Virginia Beach, announced that a grand jury meeting in Virginia Beach Circuit Court today returned indictments against 70 individuals charging 140 separate offenses.

 

Che Ernest Hazell and Christy Ronsha Lamour, both 30 years old, of the 600 block of Arthur Avenue in Virginia Beach, were indicted in connection with the death of 5-year-old Christian Lamour in April 2011. Both are charged with Second Degree Murder, Involuntary Manslaughter, Child Cruelty/Neglect/Abuse, and Cruelty/Injury to Children.  

 

The grand jury also returned indictments against Terrence Goings, age 29, of the 5800 block of E. Hastings Arch in Virginia Beach relating to a home invasion robbery in the Lake Edward neighborhood on July 17, 2011.  Goings faces charges of Armed Robbery of a Residence, Statutory Burglary of a Dwelling with a Deadly Weapon, Wearing a Mask on Private Property, Use of a Firearm, two (2) counts of Abduction with the intent to Extort Money, and six (6) counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
