Virginia Beach Parks & Rec hosts public meeting for input on Bikeways & Trails Plan Update

Tuesday, March 21, 2017

Riding, walking, running, hiking or driving – residents love to explore Virginia Beach, and Parks & Recreation is looking for feedback on the next phase of the Bikeways & Trails Plan. Citizens are invited to a public input meeting on Thursday, March 30 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Virginia Beach City Council chambers.

To gaug
e how residents use the city's trails system and what they would like to see in the future, the meeting will focus on three main questions:

  • What concerns do you have with biking and walking in Virginia Beach?
  • What improvements would you like to see on our trails system?
  • Are there changes to laws and policies that should be considered?
For those who can't attend in person, the session will stream live on Facebook, online, and on television on Cox channel 48 and Verizon channel 45. A survey will also be made available following the meeting to submit additional feedback.
