Road Improvements for Pacific Avenue to Begin This Monday the 27th

Friday, February 24, 2017

Virginia Beach Public Works has announced that crews will begin road improvements on Pacific Avenue this Monday, February 27, 2017.

The project will include milling, paving, minor concrete repairs and pavement marking work on both eastbound and westbound Pacific Avenue from 5th Street to 16th Street, and from 24th Street to 26th Street.

All night time milling will be from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.  Any paving and marking work that needs to be done during the weekday hours will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.  Any weekend work – if needed – will be scheduled between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The project is likely to produce traffic delays, congestion and some construction noise.  Advanced warning signs will be clearly posted advising motorists of lane closures.  Citizens are urged to use alternate traffic routes when possible.

The work is expected to be completed by March 16, 2017.

All scheduled work is weather permitting.
