Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation welcomes leprechauns young and old to join us for all the green, glittering fun lined up in March! Our members and top-notch participants are certainly our lucky charms, so we hope to see you all in a park, recreation center, pool, or on a sports field as spring draws near.

Art Attack: Shamrock Stamp Shirts
(Mar 3 | 6 to 7 pm | ages 15 & under | Great Neck Recreation Center)
Are you feeling artsy? For this month's first Friday art project, we're feeling lucky as a four-leafed clover and making shamrock t-shirts to show it. Art supplies and decorations will be provided, but participants must bring their own shirt to decorate. Register today!

St. Paddy's Day Gold Rush
(Mar 10 | 6:30 to 8:30 pm | ages 6 to 12 | Bow Creek Recreation Center | $6)
A leprechaun has invaded Bow Creek Recreation Center and left his gold coins for you to find. Solve his riddles and win cool prizes. We'll also have face painting and a special craft project to enjoy. Registration ends soon, so don't miss out!

Family Nerf Battle
(Mar 11 | 2 to 3 pm | Parent and children ages 8 & up | Great Neck Recreation Center | $5)
Get ready for an extreme Nerf competition with your family and friends! Duck, dodge, and dive through our inflatable obstacles to complete missions to prove you're the ultimate Nerf warrior! Register one week in advance.

Movie Night in the Pool
(Mar 17 | 6 to 8 pm | All ages | Princess Anne Recreation Center)
Just keep swimming! Float in to our indoor pool at Princess Anne and enjoy the animated hit movie Finding Dory on our huge inflatable screen. It's sure to be a splish-splashing good time!

Mobility 101 Clinic
(Mar 21 | 6 to 7 pm | ages 14 & up | Princess Anne Recreation Center | $35)
Want to release tension and relieve stiffness? Learn how to gain better joint mobility and help alleviate muscle soreness without spending a ton of money on massages. We will teach you the power of the foam roller and other techniques, guiding you through several exercises to help you unknot and unwind your body. Register online to reserve your spot as space is limited.

Family Nite Hike
(Mar 24 | 8 to 9 pm | ages 5 & up | Pleasure House Point Natural Area)
ring your family and a flashlight to explore the park in the dark with us. Hear the sounds of the evening wildlife under the stars on this guided adventure. *Free event; no membership needed, but pre-registration is required. For information, email or call 757-385-4461.

Therapeutic Recreation Summer Camp Registration
VBPR Therapeutic Recreation Programs is registering participants for summer camps starting March 11. Designed activities for individuals with diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, Down Syndrome, learning disability, mild to profound intellectual disability, traumatic brain injury, hard of hearing, visual or physical disability will provide a magical summer full of fun, friendships, and encouragement. Coed Youth 7-on-7 Football Passing League
Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation is kicking off its inaugural season of the coed youth 7-on-7 football passing league this spring. Geared toward youth ages 10 to 18, this league allows for a fun, recreational, non-contact way to play football, and offers young athletes an exceptional way to hone their football skills. Team registration will begin March 6 through March 24. Game play starts April 21 and will continue every Friday night under the lights at the Princess Anne Athletic Complex on the new synthetic turf fields. T-shirts and game equipment will be provided.
