Most of Virginia Beach Can Resume Normal Water Use

Restrictions Remain for South Sandbridge and the Area Around Princess Anne & Holland Roads

Friday, October 14, 2016

The city has lifted recommended water restrictions on most of Virginia Beach. After the storm, the city asked residents to minimize indoor water use to prevent stresses on the waste water collection system. Public Utilities crews have been working around the clock to restore sanitary sewer service throughout the city.

Two service areas remain under notice to minimize water use. They are:

  • The southern end of Sandbridge, south of Tuna Lane.
  • Neighborhoods and homes near the intersection of Princess Anne Road and Holland Road, specifically Litchfield Manor, Highcourt, Princess Anne Quarter, the 2300 block of Princess Anne Road and the 2200 block of Holland Road

Public Utilities will continue to keep affected residents updated on system restoration efforts.
