Tree pruning and removal to be conducted along Holly Road September 26-27

Friday, September 23, 2016

Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation’s Landscape Management division will be pruning and removing declining trees along Holly Road beginning September 26, weather permitting, and work is expected to continue on September 27. Traffic will be impacted along Holly Road due to a lane closure between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm.  The impacted area consists of several sites on Holly Road between 34th Street and 44th Street.

The affected area is on property owned by the City of Virginia Beach in the city right-of-way along Holly Road. To ensure public safety, some trees will need to be pruned or removed. Other stakeholders will help the City remove trees in areas that may affect power lines.

For additional information, please contact Susan French, Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation City Arborist with the Landscape Management Division, at SFrench@vbgov.com.
