Some Weekend Events in Virginia Beach Canceled or Moved

​The following events are canceled or moved due to the approach of Tropical Storm Hermine:

  • American Music Festival: 
    • Friday: Concerts on the 5th Street Main Stage, featuring 311, Ozomatli and RDGLDGRN, are cancelled. Free performances by Chris Janson and Kevin MaC will take place, weather permitting, on the 24th Street Stage. Doors open at 6:30 and the show is 7:30. Free performances by Little River Band and Eli Cook will take place, weather permitting, on the 31st Street Stage. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the shows begins at 7. 
    • Saturday: The concert previously scheduled for the 5th Street Stage, featuring UB40, The Wallflowers and Cracker, will be held in the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th St. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30. All other Saturday shows are cancelled.
    • Sunday: The 5th Street Main Stage concert featuring Culture Club, The Romantics and Groves has been moved into the Convention Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 6:30. Sunday's scheduled free concerts will be determined Saturday.
  • Mile on the Sand – Scheduled for Saturday. Canceled.
  • Party at the Pier – Friday night at Little Island Park. Canceled.  
  • Farmers Market – Carnival Friday and Saturday is canceled.
  • Aquarium – Sea Adventures Dolphin Discoveries trips on Friday and Saturday are canceled. The Adventure Park is closed Saturday. 
  • Virginia Beach History Museums – All events Saturday, Sunday and Monday are canceled.
