Libraries to Open Late on Dates in August and September

Virginia Beach Public Library (VBPL) locations will open at 1 p.m. instead of 10 a.m. on staggered dates in August and September for staff in-service training. Following are the dates and locations for the 1 p.m. openings: 

Aug. 17          Pungo-Blackwater Library, 916 Princess Anne Road

Aug. 18          Bayside Area Library, 936 Independence Blvd.

Aug. 22          Princess Anne Area Library, 1444 Nimmo Parkway

Aug. 23          Oceanfront Area Library, 700 Virginia Beach Blvd.

Sept. 1            Great Neck Area Library, 1251 Bayne Drive

Sept. 22         Windsor Woods Area Library, 3612 South Plaza Trail

Sept. 23         Kempsville Area Library, 832 Kempsville Road

Sept. 27         Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd.

While the individual libraries won't open until 1 p.m., all other VBPL locations will open at 10 a.m. on the dates noted. Find a listing of VBPL locations at www.VBgov.com/libraries.
