Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation Wants Your Opinion: Help Shape the Future of the City’s Recreational Youth Sports Program

Residents can take the survey at www.VBgov.com/youthsports

Wednesday, April 27, 2016

(Virginia Beach, VA) – Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation launched a citizen survey asking for feedback and thoughts on the City’s recreational youth sports program. Residents can take the survey at www.VBgov.com/youthsports. The results of the Youth Sports Survey will be used to evaluate the sports offered through Parks & Recreation and help plan the program’s future. The Youth Sports Survey asks questions on a wide range of topics including in which sports Virginia Beach citizens are interested; what goals parents have for their children’s sports programs; and what level of competition they prefer in recreational youth sports.

Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation is dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and ensuring all residents - regardless of their physical, social and economic circumstances - can access the department’s programs. Youth sports are invaluable for our children, families and the community. Parks & Recreation's youth sports programs rely on the engagement and support of its partner volunteer Recreation Associations, parents, coaches, players, and citizens. These partnerships are crucial to deliver quality recreational youth sports opportunities for residents.

The survey takes only a few minutes to complete. Those who participate can choose to be entered into a random drawing to win a Parks & Recreation gift card or T-shirt. For more information about the survey, please contact Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation Strategic Analyst Rachel Lenn at rlenn@VBgov.com
