Spring Enrollment Open for Bank On Virginia Beach Classes: Starting April 14 and April 20

Enrollment is now open for the spring Bank On Virginia Beach classes. Bank On Virginia Beach classes help residents take control of their finances and empower them to build financial security. The classes include instruction on the basics of banking and money management, savings strategies, how to break the financial crisis mode, credit education, housing and insurance, how to improve credit scores and how to protect against identity theft.

Each class will meet once per month for 10 months at the following locations and times:

  • Small Business Nonprofit Resource Center, 5602 B Virginia Beach Blvd., Suite 101
    Every second Thursday, 6:30 to 8 p.m. beginning April 14
  • Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd.
    Every third Wednesday, 6 to 7:30 p.m. beginning April 20

Since launching in 2012, more than 1,300 people have enrolled in classes. Bank On is part of the Mayor’s Action Challenge for Financially Fit Families, an initiative led by the Department of Human Services.
