Four Councilmembers to Host Budget Town Hall Meeting April 13

City Councilmembers Ben Davenport, Bob Dyer, Shannon Kane and Dr. Amelia Ross-Hammond will host a town hall meeting Wednesday, April 13, to discuss the proposed city budget for 2016-17. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at Salem Middle School, 2380 Lynnhaven Parkway.

City Budget Director Catheryn Whitesell will present details from the proposed budget, then she and the City Council members will take questions and comments.

City Manager Dave Hansen presented the proposed budget March 22. The City Council will vote May 10. Two public hearings are scheduled, both at 6 p.m.:

  • April 21 – Cox High School, 2425 Shorehaven Drive
  • April 26 – City Council chamber, 2401 Courthouse Drive
