‘March’ into spring with themed events for the family to enjoy

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – With winter on its way out, Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation is hopping into spring with a calendar chock full of events to celebrate the season. Mark your calendars and join your family, friends, and neighbors for an egg-ceptionally fun month!


Free and open to the public:


Eggstra Eggstravagant Egg Event (March 26 | 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. | All ages |Bayville Farms Park)
Eggs, eggs and more eggs! Celebrate the season with crafts and a visit from the bushy-tailed guy hopping by! Rain location: Bayside Recreation Center.


Recreation Center membership or day pass and registration required unless otherwise noted:


Movie in the Pool - Home (March 18 |6 to 8 p.m. |All ages|Williams Farm Recreation Center)
Pull up a float! Enjoy this special feature while relaxing in the pool. Those age 9 & under must be directly supervised by someone age 16 or older. 


Breakfast with the Easter Bunny (March 22 | 10 to 11:30 a.m. | Ages 5 & under with a parent |Great Neck Recreation Center | $6)
Hop on in and delight in a continental breakfast, an Easter egg hunt, and Easter-themed activities and crafts. Bring a smile for pictures with the Easter Bunny! Please register by March 15.


Pizza with the Bunny (March 25 | 6 to 7:30 p.m. | Ages 3 to 8 |Bow Creek Recreation Center | $6)
Hop, hop, hop into Bow Creek to take pictures with the Easter Bunny and stay for pizza and a movie. Registration is required.


Spring Break Eggstravaganza  (March 29 | 2 to 3:30 p.m. | Ages 6 to 12 |Williams Farm Recreation Center)
Ever wonder what to do with those plastic eggs? We have lots of ideas, including eggy cornhole toss, egg spoon race and pin the egg on the chicken. Come have some eggstra special fun with us!


Additionally, March 19 beginning at 9:00 a.m., registration begins for our Recreation Center, Sports, and Specialty Summer Camps. Enroll your kids for a summer full of memories with their friends!
