Part of Aragona Boulevard to be Closed for Three Months During Sewer Repair

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Starting Monday, June 20, the 900 block of Aragona Blvd. will be closed to through traffic in both directions for approximately three months while sanitary sewer lines are repaired. Residents and business owners in the affected area will have access to their properties at all times and motorists will be directed to use Haygood Road as an alternate route.

The project, which will take place in the Aragona Village section of the city, will be conducted by Tidewater Utility Construction, under contract with the Department of Public Utilities. The repairs are necessary to ensure that the sanitary sewer system continues to meet local, state and federal requirements.

The project is expected to be completed by Sept.15, weather permitting. For more information, contact Belinda Wilson with Virginia Beach Public Utilities at (757) 385-4894.
