​ VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation loves bringing our citizens, participants, and recreation center members programs that celebrate family traditions and healthy lifestyles. Save the dates below to share the love with us.

 

Archery Demo Day (February 6 | 1 to 3 p.m. | Ages 6 & up (16 & under with parent) |Bayside Recreation Center)
Ever wonder if you could shoot a bow and arrow like Cupid? Stop by and give it your best shot during our open house. All equipment will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.

 

Daddy Daughter Valentine Dance (February 12 | 6 to 8 p.m. | Ages 10 & under and parents of all ages |Great Neck Recreation Center | $10 per person)
Together, fathers and daughters create lasting memories while dancing the night away. Enjoy light snacks and a Valentine’s craft. Please register by February 6. A membership or day pass is required to participate.

 

Family Pickleball Night (February 19 | 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. | Seatack Recreation Center)
Enjoy the sport of Pickleball! Similar to other racquet sports, Pickleball shares the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, but a net and rules similar to tennis – with a few modifications. Fine-tune your skills with an experienced instructor or learn the rules and techniques for the first time. Equipment will be provided. Please register by February 12. A membership or day pass is required to participate.
