Library to Serve “Books on Tap” at Beach Brewery

Friday, January 08, 2016

Continuing efforts to reach out into the community, Virginia Beach Public Library is partnering with Commonwealth Brewing Company to offer “Books on Tap,” a monthly book club for adults. Led by staff from Bayside Area Library, the club will meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month, beginning Jan. 26, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Commonwealth Brewing Company is located at 2444 Pleasure House Road.

“Books on Tap” is for adults, ages 18 and up. The program is free to attend and no purchase is required. Members will select titles at the first meeting. Books will be provided by Virginia Beach Public Library.

“Our staff is always looking for unique ways to bring the library to the community and engage residents who may not have stepped into a library in years,” said Sonia Alcantara-Antoine, public services manager for Virginia Beach Public Library. “The partnership with Commonwealth Brewing Company is an ideal way for the library to provide services to one of our target audiences, young professionals, who are often hard to reach.”

To register for “Books on Tap,” visit and reserve your spot. For more information, contact Bayside Area Library, (757) 385-2680.
