Virginia Beach Central Library Art Gallery Call for Entries; Deadline: Friday, Dec. 12, 2015

​Virginia Beach Public Library is accepting applications for monthly art exhibitions at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library gallery. Following a competitive, juried process, winning applicants will display their artwork for one month from March 2016 through February 2017.

To be eligible, the artwork must be:

  • Two-dimensional, framed, wall art (e.g., painting, photography, collage)
  • Original work by the applicant
  • Suitable for display in a public library

Applicant portfolios must include:

  • Brief letter of application describing artwork and art experience
  • Contact information, including email
  • Six to 12 sample digital images/.jpegs (preferred) or photographs of artwork
  • Self-addressed, stamped envelope, if submitting photographs

Portfolios must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2015. Submissions may be sent via email to RKennedy@VBgov.com, submitted to the library in person or mailed to:
