Several Virginia Beach Events Canceled or Rescheduled

​Several city-sponsored events and activities have been canceled or rescheduled because of inclement weather.

  • The Francis Land House’s Harvest Festival, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.
  • Town Center’s War of the Wings, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been rescheduled to Saturday, Nov. 7, from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are available online at
  • The 3rd annual Apple Extravaganza at the Virginia Beach Farmer’s Market, originally scheduled for Saturday, is cancelled.
  • The 24-Hour Comic Day at the Francis Land House, originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, has been rescheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, to Saturday, Oct. 24.
  • Sports: All youth and adult outdoor sports management and citywide athletic programs are canceled tonight.  Also, all programed field lights at outdoor facilities for city recreation associations and private athletic partners are canceled tonight. Decisions will be made tomorrow, Friday, about all sports events scheduled for Friday and this weekend.
  • The Visit a Park Day guided tour at Pleasure House Point, scheduled for Friday, is cancelled.
  • The Family Fishing Clinic at Munden Point Park, scheduled for Saturday, is cancelled.
