Health Department to Host FREE Flu Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 17

The Virginia Beach Department of Public Health (VBDPH) will host FREE flu vaccination clinics at Newtown Elementary School, 5277 Learning Circle, and Kemps Landing/Old Donation School, 2509 Seaboard Road, on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Virginia Beach Department of Public Health nurses and volunteer Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) nurses will administer seasonal flu vaccines free of charge to the following:

Flu Vaccine:

  • Adults and children – Ages 3 years and older.

  • Children, ages 3-8, should bring a copy of their immunization record if available.

  • 1,100 doses available – Vaccine supply is limited. Individuals will receive vaccine on a first come, first served basis.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that individuals receive flu vaccinations because the virus spreads quickly, especially, in school and child care settings and often affects young, healthy adults.
