Free Arts and Crafts at Lynnhaven House

Friday, August 28, 2015

The Lynnhaven House Colonial Education Center will host a free arts and crafts day on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All are welcome to come make a clay pot, paper dolls, and many more free arts and crafts projects.

“The Lynnhaven House Colonial Education Center has long been a steward of Virginia Beach’s colonial history,” said Travis Halstead, history museums manager for the City of Virginia Beach. “Inviting the public to learn by doing, especially with fun crafts, is just another way we can continue to offer history lessons.”

The arts and crafts day is free to all participants and preregistration is not required. Children will need an adult to accompany them during the event. There will be arts and crafts for adults and children, but smaller children may need assistance.

Tours are also available for $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 for students, and will be offered throughout the day. Children 5 and under are free.
