Brigadoon Park Closed Beginning August 21

Access to park closed due to Phase XI of Lynnhaven Parkway Project

Wednesday, August 12, 2015

(Virginia Beach, VA) – Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation is notifying citizens that Brigadoon Neighborhood Park, located at 5277 Lynnhaven Parkway, will be closed beginning Saturday, August 21, for approximately six months during Phase XI of the Lynnhaven Parkway improvement project. This phase of construction will shift the traffic lanes, causing the sidewalk leading to the park to be within the active work area, making it inaccessible to patrons. Completion of this phase of construction is anticipated in March 2016, dependent on weather.

Nearby alternative parks with similar amenities that will be accessible during the construction include:

• Brigadoon Pines Park, 5207 Albright Drive
• Brigadoon Woods Park, 1717 Ashton Drive

Patrons can also download the free VB ParkFinder app from the Apple App Store or Google Play to search for additional parks and filter by events and amenities.
