Thursday, August 06, 2015

(Virginia Beach, VA) – Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation welcomes citizens to join us for an open house event to learn more about the Marshview Park development plan and provide their valued feedback. The open house is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Seatack Recreation Center Program Annex Building (141 S Birdneck Road).

Learn about the park development plan and participate in discussion regarding amenities like new trails, parking areas, open play field, playground, picnic shelters, restrooms and dog park.

Marshview Park is home to 100 acres of wooded property on Lake Rudee in the Oceanfront area. The site is generally located between the neighborhoods of Lands End Condominiums, Salt Marsh Point, Seatack, and Shadowlawn, and is open daily from dawn to dusk. A new asphalt trail was opened in January 2015, and there are numerous unpaved trails to explore. The property creates opportunities to provide unique cultural, recreational, and environmental benefits and experiences to the city and its residents.
