Family Fun Day June 27 at the Francis Land House

Picnic like you never have before at the June 27 Francis Land House Family Fun Day.  Staff and members of the Virginia Regency Society will make it historically similar to the bygone era of early 19th Century with games, dancing and other activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visitors are invited to bring their picnics to the lawn of the Land House and join in old-fashioned table-top and lawn games such as jacks, nine pins, marbles, hoops, game of graces and shut the box. Members of the Regency Society will lead dancing and demonstrate musket, pistol and bow shooting, as weather permits. Guests are invited to join the Francis Land House staff and Regency Society members in period costume dress.

 

Tours of the historic house will be available hourly and will be free during this event. Picnic and activities are free of charge. The Francis Land House is located at 3133 Virginia Beach Blvd.
