Meet “The Wild Truth” Author Carine McCandless April 26 at the Central Library

Virginia Beach resident and author Carine McCandless, sister of Chris McCandless, whose story was made famous in the popular book and movie “Into the Wild,” will be at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, Sunday, April 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. She will talk about her family’s story and her new book, “The Wild Truth.” The event is free and open to the public.

Friends of Virginia Beach Public Library members are invited to a special reception with the author at 5 p.m. and will receive a discount on purchases of “The Wild Truth.” The Friends will accept memberships at the door before the reception. Friends membership dues support community programming and events for all ages at Virginia Beach Public Library.
