Three Councilmembers to Host Budget Town Hall Meeting April 16

​City Councilmembers Ben Davenport, Bob Dyer and Dr. Amelia Ross-Hammond will host a town hall meeting Thursday, April 16, to discuss the proposed city budget for 2015-16. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of Kempsville High School, 5194 Chief Trail.


City Budget Director Catheryn Whitesell will present details from the proposed budget, then she and the City Council members will take questions and comments.


The City Council is scheduled to vote on the budget May 12.


Two public hearings are scheduled:

  • April 23 at 6 p.m., Green Run High School, 1700 Dahlia Drive
  • April 28 at 6 p.m., City Council chamber, 2401 Courthouse Drive
